Jean Prouvé

Jean Prouvé completed an apprenticeship as a blacksmith and set up his own workshop in Nancy in 1924. As a result, numerous furniture designs were created and in 1947 Prouvé was able to build his own factory. In 1953 he had to leave the company after disputes with the majority shareholder. In the following decades he worked as a consulting engineer in Paris on numerous important construction projects.
