In keeping with its ecological mission, Vitra designs, produces, and distributes products that are as durable as possible, ones that can last for generations of owners. This longevity is made possible by the quality of the construction, design, and materials. Furthermore, the designs are designed to be repairable if necessary. Products that experience a certain amount of wear and tear should be regularly cared for and maintained to minimize the need for repairs. At the Circle Store Campus, we are happy to advise you on repair and cleaning services, as well as selected spare parts and care products.

  • Service and repairs

    Vitra repairs damaged components or replaces defective parts with new or functional ones. This primarily concerns mechanical parts (mechanisms, gas springs), upholstery (leather and fabric), and wooden parts. Regardless how old the Vitra products are, regular maintenance ensures you can enjoy your product for a long time.

    • Repairs, preparation and care of wood and veneers as well as plastic and metal surfaces

  • Refurbishment of Eames Aluminium Chairs and Soft Pad Chairs

    You can have your Eames Aluminium Chairs and Soft Pad Chairs refurbished on the Vitra Campus using a standard process. This service includes disassembly, machining of the metal parts, reupholstery according to your specifications, and subsequent assembly. You can customize the colors to your liking. This offer applies to Vitra models produced from 1993 onwards.

    • Existing (sometimes decades-old) furniture is transformed into pieces as good as new – with CO2 savings of 60 to 70% compared to new production.
    • Renewal of the ten-year Vitra warranty on refurbished chairs from the Aluminium and Soft Pad Groups

  • Cleaning and care

    Vitra will subject your product to professional cleaning or care. The surfaces are refreshed to withstand further years of use. The focus is on upholstery and wood surfaces.

  • Refurbishment of Vitra classics

    We've been producing our classic furniture for so long that they're particularly dear to our hearts. That's why we're always delighted when we can refurbish newer and older Vitra classics. With dedication and craftsmanship, we reupholster worn cushions, reassemble torn wooden parts or install complex shock mounts.

Immediate repairs

  • Rolls

    Casters can wear out over time or become so dirty that they no longer function properly. Common casters for office swivel chairs, such as ID Chairs or Aluminum Chairs, can be replaced directly at the Circle Store. If you need casters for an older chair, please contact us in advance.

  • Gliders

    Chair glides wear out with regular use. Replacing them promptly prevents damage to your carpet or parquet. Common glides for hard floors or carpets, such as those for Eames Plastic Chairs and Fiberglass Chairs, .03, Lounge Chairs, etc., can be replaced directly in the Circle Store. If you need glides for an older chair, please contact us in advance.

  • Clock mechanism

    If Nelson Clocks are adjusted to summer or winter time, or if the time is generally adjusted directly on the clock hands, the movement and hands may be damaged. All movements and most common clock hands can be replaced at the Circle Store.

  • Eames House Bird Eyes

    If the Eames House Bird is knocked over or falls off the shelf, the eyes can sometimes pop out. Fortunately, they can be replaced and repaired at the Circle Store.

  • Gas spring

    Gas springs generally have a long service life, but they do eventually reach their end. The Circle Store can replace the gas springs of most Vitra office swivel chairs. Please contact us in advance to ensure we have the correct gas spring in stock for your visit.

  • Further immediate repairs

    Accidents happen all the time, and regular use of your product will cause it to wear out. In many cases, even minor repairs can help prevent further damage. Many such emergency repairs are available upon prior arrangement. Please fill out this form and indicate whether the repair should be carried out in-store, if possible.
