In line with its ecological mission, Vitra designs, produces, and sells products that are as durable as possible, capable of lasting for generations of owners. It is the quality of construction, design, and materials that enables this longevity. Additionally, the designs are conceived to be repairable if needed. Products that show some wear and tear from use should be regularly maintained and cared for to minimize the need for repairs. At the Vitra Circle Store Campus, we are happy to advise you on repair and cleaning services, as well as selected spare parts and care products.

  • Service and repairs

    Vitra repairs damaged components or replaces defective parts with new or functional ones. This primarily concerns mechanical parts (mechanisms, gas springs), upholstery (leather and fabric covers), and wooden parts. Regular maintenance ensures that you will enjoy your product for a long time.

  • Reconditioning of Eames Aluminium Chairs and Soft Pad Chairs

    You can have your Eames Aluminium Chairs and Soft Pad Chairs refurbished on the Vitra Campus using a standard process. This service includes disassembly, processing of the metal parts, re-upholstery according to your specifications, and subsequent assembly. This allows for individual colour customisation. This offer applies to Vitra models from production year 1995 onwards.

    • Existing furniture (some decades old) is transformed into like-new pieces – with a 60 to 70% CO2 saving compared to new production.
    • Renewal of the ten-year Vitra guarantee on refurbished chairs from the Aluminium and Soft Pad Groups

  • Cleaning and care

    Vitra will subject your product to professional cleaning or care. The surfaces are refreshed to withstand further years of use. The focus is on upholstery and wood surfaces.

  • Refurbishment of Vitra classics

    We have been producing our classic furniture for so long that it holds a special place in our hearts. That's why it always fills us with joy when we can refurbish newer and older vintages of Vitra classics. With dedication and craftsmanship, we re-upholster worn cushions, reassemble broken wooden parts, or mount complex shockmounts.

Immediate repairs

  • Roll

    Castors can wear out over time or become so dirty that their function is impaired. Common castors for office swivel chairs, e.g. ID Chairs or Aluminium Chairs, can be replaced directly in the Vitra Circle Store. If you need castors for an older chair, please contact us beforehand.

  • glider

    Chair glides wear out with regular use. Timely replacement of the glides prevents damage to your carpet or parquet flooring. Common glides for hard floors or carpets, e.g., for Eames Plastic Chairs and Fiberglass Chairs, .03, Lounge Chairs, etc., can be replaced directly at the Vitra Circle Store. If you need glides for an older chair, please contact us beforehand.

  • Clockworks

    If the time is adjusted on Nelson Clocks directly via the hands (for daylight saving time or winter time, or generally for setting the time), the clockwork and hands can be damaged. All clockworks and the most common clock hands can be replaced in the Vitra Circle Store.

  • Eames House Bird-Eyes

    If the Eames House Bird is knocked over or falls off a shelf, its eyes can break off. Fortunately, they can be replaced and repaired at the Vitra Circle Store.

  • Gas spring

    Gas springs generally have a long lifespan, but they do eventually reach their end. At the Vitra Circle Store, the gas springs of the most common Vitra office swivel chairs can be replaced. Please contact us in advance to ensure that we have the correct gas spring in stock for your visit.

  • Further immediate repairs

    Accidents happen and your product will wear down with regular use. In many cases, small repairs can prevent further damage. Many such immediate repairs are possible after prior arrangement. Please complete this form and indicate whether the repair – if possible – should be carried out directly in the Vitra Circle Store.
